Another Eidos had a rough transistion to 3D

Chapter 1 - Another Eidos? What is that?

Another Eidos is a tower defense game with adult VN elements. It features a cast of mostly (gay) male characters with a decent ratio between humans, anthros, orcs, goblins, and the like. They all have porn scenes which may not necessarily involve the main character, and may present kinks that may not be for everyone. As for the tower defense aspect, it is mostly a work in progress with plenty of systems unimplemented or rough around the edges (buggy). If any of that sounds good to you, maybe you'll enjoy this game.

You can check Characters for the roster of available and upcoming characters in the game. Illustrators lists the artists involved. And you can check CGs if your desired character has their porn scene implemented or not.

How do I download this game?

On the game's website, there are download links for PC and android. The PC version comes with the Nox player preinstalled with the app, Habbit Launcher, while the Android version is simply an apk of the said app. It is recommended to simply get the Android version and install in your desired emulator.

Habbit launcher

Via Habbit Launcher, you'll be able to make your Habbit account, then log-in, and download Another Eidos. For first time install, you must launch the game via the launcher in order for the game to link with your logged in account.

Habbit Launcher is also where you'll be updating the game when a new patch drops.

Emulators

If you are planning on using the PC version give Nox a try and if it works well stay with it. If you have issues you can try changing the settings or moving to another emulator like Bluestacks. If you want to change from Nox you will need to get the apk file from the android link. Your data is linked to your Habbit account so you will be able to transfer without a problem.

Chapter 2 - The Game

The game presents you with a basic tutorial of its gameplay at the start. You can check The Battle System for a better understanding. Though the game never tells you, you are given a free tickets enough for a 10 pull at the very start.

The Main Storyline

You'll go through various stages presenting either story, battle, or both. Completing story content is your main source of gacha currency for pulls. You'll be able to get free units at the start and midway of Chapter 0. For more info, refer to Main Storyline.

Exploration Quests

Use exploration quests to grind materials and level up your characters should you hit a wall in beating stages. For more info, refer to Exploration Quests.

Event Quests

Play any events you haven't cleared yet. It will take a while to get done so unless something more pressing happens like a new current event, use your stamina here. Currently, one event is open indefinitely, but it may not be the case in the future. For more info, refer to Event Quests.

Potential Problems for New Players

The tutorial scenarios are notorious for being the most resource intensive parts of the game for having VN sections within the combat. It may be laggy and outright freeze, but if you're able to get through it, you may have less trouble with the rest of the content. When playing in emulators, this is where you trouble shoot, but with phones/tablets, it may be wise to find a way to play around these stages.

VN content also has a track record of taking too long to load, leaving a mostly blank screen until the scenario finally loads.

When the game receives new updates, it may require you to reset your cache and restart your game to save yourself from experiencing visual glitches.

Check Known Bugs when in doubt. You can also send a report or inquiry directly to the devs here.

Those are done, now what?

You will spend your stamina depending on what you need. If you are good on everything, most players farm flyers. Farming a level from the latest chapter will give more Draco per level as well. 1-21 is a safe, easy, level to farm. You place 3 fighters or other high dps units at the spawn and it will take care of it. While it might not be the most time effective, It is the most lazy way to do it.

Chapter 3 - The Gacha

The main ways of summoning new characters are via Scouting using tickets or dragon stones, and using recruitment flyers. You can find more in depth info here: Summoning.

Dragon Stones

Dragon stones are used to summon units at a rate of 4:1. You can use 40 to get 10 at the same time. You get Dragon stones from first time clears of 3 star and 4 star maps. [Login Rewards] and occasional login events are also possible sources. You will also get 4 per maintenance plus more if the maintenance is extended.

Recruitment Flyers

Flyers are gained from any non-exploration level. They can be used to pull any unit from the release of the game.

Gacha Rarities

1 stars are gray, 2 stars are green, 3 stars are blue, 4 stars, are purple, 5 stars are yellow, 6 stars are orange.

Higher rarity usually means more powerful but not always.

Chapter 4 - Team Building

It is suggested that you get at least 3 tanks. 2-3 range, 2 healers. The other spots can be anything you like.

Use Leonhart, he is one of the best units in the game. Goblin fighter is also strong. Use Baran for range and unlimited skill time. Most healers are good enough.

Chapter 5 - Friend Code/Support

The friend code is the ID that appears above your name. You can search and add players only if you have the full ID. Codes are not case sensitive. Having someone one your friends list will make them appear in your supports.

Supports are units you can take with you for that battle. You will get a pool of random supports, from players of a similar player level to you, if you have no friends or less than 20 that fill in empty spaces. After using a specific support, there will be a cooldown, disallowing you to use it again for a while. The supports will stay the same until they are shuffled at a later time.

To set a unit as a support, go to your profile and press the wrench on support/skills. There is currently no reward for getting your support picked or using someone else's support.
