Status Ailments are specific types of status effects that give a penalty or disadvantage to the inflicted. Certain ailments only work on non-boss type enemies. Ailments typical run for a duration, and can be reduced by if a unit has the buff "Resistance."

Staright-forward stat debuffs are not considered ailments, since certain units with kits or gimmicks that interact with specific or any ailments, including resistance, do not do so with stat debuffs or Stage Effects.

This is part of The Battle System.
