The alternating, flexile nature of his skill allows him to function as a potent team buffer for allies in range, or a tactical AoE nuke for enemies in range, switching between the two functions every time he casts his skill. His first cast will always be the ally buff variant, and 2nd cast will damage and debuff enemies, 3rd cast will buff allies again and so on, so forth.
As units can't share the same tile, where he's positioned and who gets to be in his attack range can change mission to mission based on the circumstance. It's possible to try and get the best of both worlds by placing melee allies close to him and leaving the outer part of his attack range open for enemies to stand in as well.
Surprisingly good dps, especially when empowered by his own buffs.
The one-time heal will trigger only the first time he uses his skill. It can be useful for teams who want to delay deploying their healer, and it also heals himself.
