Exploration Quests, also known as Expedition Quests, are repeatable quests that give players materials to upgrade their units. Exploration quests are the most stamina efficient way to acquire these materials outside of Event Exchanges. Currently there are six types of quests, with varying number of tiers. With each tier, stamina, difficulty, efficiency and rewards increase. Due to the games easy difficulty it is recommended to play the third tier (highest stamina cost) exploration quests and only play the low tiers for completion marks. All explorations are available any day of the week and do not change out or expire.
All quests have their own reward table, similar quests have similar reward tables. Each reward table consists of one or more reward pools that are selected when the quests is cleared. Within these pools there can be one or multiple sets of items. The exact formula for determining which pools and item sets are chosen is currently unknown. Exploration quests have 3 different reward table systems in total, please keep this mind when farming these quests:
- Fixed: Quest will always give the same reward regardless of completion marks every clear.
- Completion Marks: Quest rewards are dependent on the completion marks the quest is cleared with.
- Random: Quest rewards are random and will give a random rewards regardless of completion marks. The exact drop rates for these tables are impossible to determine so empirical data is used (which means it might be inaccurate).
NOTE: Players cannot gain Recruitment Flyers from these quests. The recruitment flyer pool only appears on Story and Event quests.
Raise Funds
Reward Table: Fixed
Raise Funds quests reward Draco. These quests only have a standard reward pool with one item set so they reward the same amount of draco for every quest clear. The completion marks obtained when clearing these quests do not affect the rewards.
Draco is used for leveling up, ranking up, and increasing the proficiency of characters. To bring a character to maximum level it requires more Draco than Battle Records.
*Silver rank calculations start at Silver Rank Level 1
Collect Battle Records
Reward Table: Fixed
Collect Battle Records quests reward battle records. These quests only have a standard reward pool with one item set so they reward the same amount of Battle Records every quest clear. The completion marks obtained when clearing these quests do not affect the rewards.
Battle Records are used to increase a character's level.
*Silver rank calculations start at Silver Rank Level 1
Collect Skill Manuals
Reward Table: Completion Mark or Random
Collect Skill Manuals quests reward skill manuals. These are the only exploration quests where completion marks matter, players should always clear these quests with 3 stars. Unlike the Draco, Battle Record and Gift Box quests these quests have multiple reward pools. The first three tiers of Skill Manual quests have 4 pools the game can grab items from: Standard, 1-Star, 2-Star, 3-Star and Rare. For the sake of simplicity the rewards for these quests have been provided as a range. When clearing the these quests the game randomly selects which pools items can be pulled from. After selecting the pool the game selects one of multiple sets of items within the pool to give to the player. In order for certain pools to be selected the player must meet the minimum completion mark requirements. Meeting these requirements does not guarantee the pool is selected, however failing to meet these requirements guarantees the pool won't be selected. It is possible to have all 4 reward pools to be selected.
Here is a breakdown of RS-C-3's reward pools:
- Standard Pool: Skill Manual I x1 (One set of rewards, will always be selected)
- 2-Star Pool: Skill Manual I x1-2 (Two sets of rewards, randomly selected if cleared with 2 stars, not guaranteed even with 2-star completion)
- 3-Star Pool: Skill Manual I x1-x3 Skill Manual II x0-x2 (6 sets of rewards, randomly selected if cleared with 3 stars, not guaranteed even with 3-star completion)
- Rare Pool: Skill Manual II x1 (One set of rewards, selection criteria unknown)
RS-C-4 and RS-C-5 have a Random Reward Table. These two quests can be cleared with any number of completion marks, they do not affect rewards.
Collect Skill Manuals | |||
---|---|---|---|
Quest | Stamina | Simplified Rewards | Manuals / Stamina |
RS-C-1 | 10 | x1-3 x0-1 | Varies |
RS-C-2 | 13 | x1-5 x0-2 | Varies |
RS-C-3 | 17 | x1-7 x0-3 | Varies |
RS-C-4 | 25 | x1-3 | Varies |
RS-C-5 | 30 | x1-2 | 0.05* |
*RS-C-5 was tested 200 times and resulted in 300 Skill Manual IIIs. It's likely the drop rate is 1.5 books per play, or 50% to receive one book and 50% for two books.
Collect Gift Boxes
Reward Table: Fixed
Collect Gift Boxes quests reward Gift Boxes. These quests only have a standard reward pool with one item set so they reward the same amount of Gift Boxes every quest clear. The completion marks obtained when clearing these quests do not affect the rewards.
Gift Boxes are used to increase a character's intimacy which allows players to view still01s for their characters. Intimacy is the smallest resource sink in the game.
Collect Feathers / Metals / Healing Items / Magical Items
Reward Table: Random
These exploration quests focus on obtaining items to upgrade skills and increase the rank of your characters. These quests are organized by class and provide items for two different classes (class X and class Y). There is also a rare chance these quests provide another item (Item Z) that is used for enhancing both classes. Each quest has 3 reward pools for the game to choose from: "Any One of Them," "Standard," and "Rare". The exact odds of these reward pools being selected and the odds for each item set appearing is unknown. This is a breakdown of the pools and applies to all 12 quests:
- Any One of Them: Guaranteed to be selected. Item set contains either one of Item X or one of Item Y.
- Standard Reward: Not guaranteed even with 3 star completion. The pool contains 3-5 sets of items. Tier 1 missions can have any combination of 0-2 Item Xs and 0-2 Item Ys. Tier 2 and Tier 3 quests can have any combination of 0-1 Item Xs and 0-1 Item Ys. The odds of the Standard Reward pool appearing decreases with higher tiers. So it's easier to obtain grey items than green items, and easier to obtain green items than blue items.
- Rare Pool: Not guaranteed, exact odds of appearing are currently unknown. But, through 500 consecutive tests of each tier the probability has been estimated. The probability of the rare drop appearing seems to increase with each tier. The difference in stamina efficiency is negligible. This pool only contains a single set and always rewards 1 of Item Z.

These exploration quests also focus on obtaining items to upgrade skills and rank up units. These maps only drop the upgrade item that is shared between the two classes. The drop rate for these items is very good compared to the other quests and the recommended source for these items when no event is active.
- Each quest can drop between 1 to 3 of the upgrade item. Most of the time they drop 2 items, so a ratio of 0.111 is assumed.
- This is actually a better exchange ratio than current event quests, which have an exchange ratio of 0.1 Item / Stamina.
- Clearing with less than 3 stars does not appear to affect the drop.
