===Flyer Scout Rates===
Every character available at launch is in the pool. By the first half-anniversary, the pool is expanded to include every character pullable up until that point, which was up until the two chapter 2 banners. Flyers are unlikely to contain limited-time units in the future. Based on what players have been able to summon since half-anniversary rolled out, it is likely that the pools now cover up to the latest banners, but not including limited-time characters.
''Based on player observations,'' flyers draw from the standard pool and can include current non-limited pick-up characters of the present banner.

Scouting is the means to recruit characters into your roster. Once in possession of a character, any subsequent summons of the character will be converted to "memories" which is used for the proficiency system.

Through the Scout screen, there are four types of scouting, each requiring a specific item to do your recruitment:

  • Premium Scouting (Uses Edgar's Freebie Tickets and Dragon Vein Stones)
  • Partner Referrals (Uses Partner Referrals and Invites)
  • Partner Scout Tickets (Uses Partner Scout Tickets)
  • Recruitment Flyers (Uses Recruitment Flyers)

To see list of past and current pick up banners, see Banner History.

Note: Rate and pools for most scouting methods are not disclosed by Habbit, and data here are gathered from player testing and observations.

Premium Scout Items

These items are usually available for purchase, with most only available within packs sold for a limited time. For more information refer to Shop and/or Items.

Partner Referrals

Partner Referrals allow you to scout a random character, within a specified pool of characters, of a specific rarity/ies based on it's tier or description. They do not expire.

Referral Pool
Type of Character Pool
General Up to latest banner. (Unconfirmed)
1st Half-Anniversary Up until Banner 12 (Released 6/24/2022, Half-Anniversary Banner)
1st Anniversary Up until Banner 23 (Released 12/9/2022, Holey-Night Banner)

Note: It is unconfirmed if a past ticket can pull a future unit if used on a later date.

Partner Scout Tickets

Partner Scout Tickets allow you to choose any unit you desire of corresponding rarity. Units are limited to the pool on ticket's description. They have been sold on the 1st half-anniversary and 1st anniversary shop promotions. They do not expire.

Ticket Pool
Type of Character Pool
1st Half-Anniversary Up until Banner 11 (Released 6/10/2022, Chapter 1 pick up banners)
Bright Summer Fest A Leonhart (Summer), Fu (Summer), Rai (Summer)
Bright Summer Fest B Jalam (Summer), Flet (Summer), Hanzo (Summer)
Bright Summer Fest C Nitro (Summer), Brute (Summer), Ragnar (Summer)
Bright Summer Fest D Billford (Summer), Lute (Summer), Pugi (Summer)
1st Anniversary Up until Banner 16 (Released 9/9/2022, Chapter 2 pick up banners)

Recommendation Letters

Recommendation letters let you scout a specific unit. Currently there is only one obtainable Recommendation Letter, it can be bought from the shop as part of the Edgar Pack. To use a recommendation letter it must be activated from your warehouse. Recommendation Letters do not expire.

Some characters are scouted for free as main storyline quest rewards, which are previewed as recommendation letters on the rewards preview, though they are immediately consumed once obtained. See Main Storyline for more info.

Recruitment Flyers

These are commonly drops from story/event quests which can recruit characters of any rarity. Notably the only way to obtain most 1 and 2 star characters, and the odds of getting any character above three starts are weighted very low.

Flyer Drop Rates

There are four type of flyers which recruits a certain amount of characters depending on tier. There is a total 90% chance to drop any of these items through only Story and Event quests. They can also be obtained through event shops.

Flyers Drop Rates
Item Number of Scouts Drop Rate
10 Blank Flyers scouts 1 character. 65%
1 Green Flyer scouts 1 character. 14%
1 Blue Flyer scouts 2 characters. 8%
1 Purple Flyer scouts 3 characters. 3%
  • Data is based on 2000 plays. Also to note, consecutive plays on stages with different stamina costs (PN - 3, EW - 19, and 3-9) all had similar results. Therefore it is likely the stamina cost of quests and event they are a part of do not effect flyer drops.

Flyer Scout Rates

Based on player observations, flyers draw from the standard pool and can include current non-limited pick-up characters of the present banner.

Value of Recruitment Flyer Farming

Though it is considered very unreliable to get characters through flyers, there may still be some potential value in them since you can typically garner a lot from farming events and completing story quests.

If one decides to prioritize farming flyers, here are some numbers to consider:

  • Weighted Average of Characters Obtained per Quest Clear = 0.455 Characters
  • Average Flyer Scouts per Day From Twenty-Four 10 Stamina Quests = 10.92 Characters

Premium Scouting

Typical way of obtaining new characters above four stars would be through premium scouting. Recruiting one character through this method requires 1x Edgar's Freebie Tickets or 4x Dragon Stones. There will be a few banners to pick from that draw from the standard scouting pool, on top of any new characters which would be exclusive to their debut banner initially, afterwards they would join the standard scouting pool. Some banners will contain limited time characters and do not get included into the standard pool after the banner is done, instead considered as limited scouting. Currently, there is no advantage to doing 10 pulls, neither is there pity system or spark system and it is unclear if Habbit has plans for any improvements on the system.

Item Number of Scouts Amount Need to Pull Once
Edgar Freebie Ticket 1x
Dragon Stones 4x

* Note: Paid stones expire 180 days after purchase, which means they are removed from your inventory if you don't use them. Free stones and stones obtained from the monthly pass do not expire. Paid stones are automatically used first when scouting.

Standard Rates & Pool

The standard pool is where all scouting methods typically draw from. A non-limited new character is added into the pool once their pick-up event ends.

Pick Up Banners and Rates

Pick-ups give improved chances to scout particular characters by taking 1% rate up from the 3-star appearance rate for each pick-up character. These banners usually come in pairs, with one coming out delayed by around a week. If there is a new character for a particular banner, it will be exclusive to that banner until it ends, afterwards they'll be part of the standard pool. Characters labelled as "Limited Time Only" are part of limited scouting and will only be available again once their banner reruns.

Due to how the rate up works, there is only roughly a 0.5% rate difference between a rate up 6-star and rate up 5-star.

How to Calculate Rates

Calculations To calculate the odds of scouting a specific unit use the following equation:

R = S/T, where
 R = Odds of scouting a specific unit in a single pull
 S = Standard rate for a unit's rarity on the banner you're currently scouting
 T = Total number of units currently with the same rarity on that banner
 If the unit is currently "Rate Up" on the banner add +1% to their calculated odds.

To calculate the probability of scouting a specific unit in N pulls at least once use the following equation:

P = 1-((100%-R)^N), where
 P = Probability of scouting the unit at least once
 R = The odds of scouting a specific unit in a single pull
 N = number of single pulls
An Example
Anima's Single Rate Calculation on the "Investigate the Endless Mating Season!" Pick Up
 R = S / T
 R = 2% / 20
 R = 0.10%
 Add +1% because he has rate up = 1.10%

Odds of obtaining at least one Anima in 10 of pulls on the "Investigate the Endless Mating Season!" Pick up.
 P = 1-((100%-R)^N)
 P = 1-((1-.011)^10)
 P = 10.47%

Odds of obtaining at least one Anima in 20 of pulls on the "Investigate the Endless Mating Season!" Pick up.
 P = 1-((100%-R)^N)
 P = 1-((1-.011)^20)
 P = 19.85%

Limited Scouting

Specific events have characters that are only obtainable through specific banners through Scouting, and referrals, letters, and tickets through Shop.

For now, to see all limited scouting units you can refer to this list of Alternate Characters
