Characters (also called Adventurers) are playable units in the game. They are obtainable via Scouting, while some are obtainable from completing the Main Storyline.
Starting the 3rd-anniversary update, certain units are also available via The Exchange.
Some characters are only available for a limited time through banners with Limited Scouting pools and are usually Alternate forms of pre-existing characters.
You can view all existing characters in the game via Characters. You can see their release history via Character Release History.
For non-playable characters, see NPC.

Characters are all capable of being used in battle. Refer to Character Stats and Upgrading Characters for information on the specifics of their stats, other mechanics, and their progression system.
